50 Ways To Generate More Money In Network Marketing (Practicing The Obvious)

June 8th, 2008

If the art of Network Marketing is your “pin-point” passion, you may certainly want to take note and put into play these 50 “best practice” marketing techniques.

Here we go!

1. Use your products regularly.

2. Make a total commitment to your program for at least one year.

3. Sell yourself first, then the products and the marketing plan.

4. Spend 90% of your business time with distributors, customers and prospects.

5. Present your products and marketing plan personally to at least one person daily.

6. Let everyone know what business you are in. Advertise.

7. Make “understanding people” more important that product knowledge.

8. Duplicate yourself by making distributors independent of you.

9. Motivate your group monthly by offering money, travel, recognition and other rewards for specific achievements.

10. Praise your distributor’s accomplishments.

11. Mingle with top distributors and ask how they made it.

12. Be persistent - only one out of every 20 people you approach may get serious about the business or be interested in your products.

13. Lead by example. Never stop recruiting, training and retailing.

14. Keep it simple: do things others can easily duplicate and copy.

15. Keep in touch - communicate by newsletter, meetings, weekly calls, postcards, voice mail - pass on pertinent information immediately.

16. Conduct simple, brief, dramatic presentations.

17. Listen 80% of the time, talk 20%.

18. Satisfy all complaints immediately.

19. Concentrate on what you can do for your distributors and customers, not on your own profits.

20. Ask for referrals from your best customers.

21. Give customers more than they expect. Everyone loves a free gift.

22. Develop at least 30 retail and/or wholesale customers.

23. Provide one-day delivery service.

24. Believe in your products so much that you know every person you talk to is going to buy from you.

25. Tell your customers how much you appreciate their business.

26. Don’t accept “no” as a final answer - approach each prospect at least 12 times a year with new information.

27. Send customers monthly promotional information. Don’t your forget your customers and don’t let your customers forget you!

28. Speak enthusiastically about your business and products.

29. Work on top priority projects that produce the highest returns.

30. Build your list of contacts daily while you build your reputation.

31. Approach former top producers. They are always open.

32. Fit the needs of a prospect with the benefits of your products and/or business opportunity.

33. Organize your files so you can locate any piece of information in 30 seconds.

34. Use an answering machine or service, and return all calls within 24 hours. Use a cellular phone for best service.

35. Set daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals - and do whatever is necessary to achieve them.

36. Do not pass negative rumors downline! Check the facts yourself.

37. Listen to cassette tapes on multi-level tips from top earners.

38. Subscribe to multi-level magazines. Read self-help books.

39. Expand your distributorship world-wide. Think big!

40. Tell others what they are interested in knowing, not what you think they should hear.

41. Spend money on things that will make you more money.

42. Schedule important tasks at the time of day when you are your best.

43. Delegate - do those things only you can do.

44. Read biographies of successful people to be inspired by their lives.

45. Present business opportunities and training regularly.

46. Plow your profits back into building your business.

47. Know that if others can do it, so can you. Challenge yourself.

48. Give yourself a reward for reaching your goal and a penalty for falling short.

49. Have so much fun in your business that others want to join you.

50. Do it now!

Final Network Marketing Note:

I fervently suggest that you print out these “key-points” and refer to them often. (I recommend at least once daily or until you can recite them without hesitation and automatically impliment them in the blink-of-an-eye!) Stay simple and stand on the basics.

You see, there really is no true financial benefit to making your relationship building process difficult. When success seems to evade you, jump back to the basics and watch your numbers begin to flourish once again!

As always…

Happy Marketing!

Opentracker Launches in Thailand

May 12th, 2008

Visual Orange Co., Ltd acknowledges the important contribution of the Internet and the value it can add to the results of our corporate when used properly. Strategy, analysis and research are keywords for the effective managing of E-commerce and Portals which should be fit to Return of Investment and generate profit. Internet sales are still rising. Information Technology research and advisory firms as Gartner are predicting a solid grow, in fact it grows 24 hours a day, and that is why we introduce Opentracker to marketers and webmasters in Thailand.

Opentracker specializes in visitor tracking and website analytics for businesses that are serious about understanding online customers. Opentracker build tools and web based applications with the purpose to support business objectives. This means Opentracker also develop informed advertisement, define content management decisions and create investment strategies concerning the online portfolio.
By storing millions of user profiles and click streams, webmasters using Opentracker receive access to unparalleled historical visitor data in a concise, user-friendly format.

Opentracker is set to become a leading contender in website analytics, an essential tool in today’s online marketing. Nowadays very few competitive webmasters work without website tracking.
The information you can learn from a tracking system starts with basic stats, such as how many unique visitors you have had in a certain period, and which countries they are from.

A ‘live’ tracking system such as Opentracker displays who is visiting your site in real-time. There is a certain thrill watching visitors browsing your site in real-time and being able to see which cities they are from. One outstanding feature of Opentracker is the capability to reveal the company name from which the visitor is accessing your web site.

Practically speaking, this means that statistics must be considered as more than just numbers. The stats must become information upon which decisions are based: the data must provide a clear path of action.

  • Opentracker vision: measuring “Human” events as web site Performance Indicators
  • Focus on visitors and not pages, as indicators of web site performance
  • Measurement of “Human” events, as opposed to hits and dialogues on servers
  • Using stats: provide advice to turn numbers into strategies
  • Provide the tools for webmasters to decide when and how to update content

Here are the technical details to be aware of:
Opentracker is an Application Service Provider (ASP).
This means that they host both your statistics and the software application.
The great benefit of this is a reduced need for technical staff and servers, as you are out-sourcing your technological requirements to Opentracker.

To get started, you need access to your pages through a web site editor. Your unique Opentracker code needs to be inserted into every page that you or your webmaster wishes to track.
The code is a single line of JavaScript, identical for all pages. Once the code is properly inserted, your single technical hurdle has been passed with flying colors.
This leaves you with one technical requirement: a functioning connection to the Internet, so that you can login to your stats.

Technologies that can be tracked:

All html based web pages, including the following extensions:

  • .html
  • .htm
  • .asp(x)
  • .php
  • .jsp
  • .cfm

Secure SSL pages that are located on a secure server.
All types of forum and bulletin boards; including Phpbb, Vbulletin, UltimateBB etc.
All kinds of web shops; including StoreFront. Shopfactory, Salescart, etc.
Numerous blogs; including Blogger, Movable Type, Livejournal etc.
Intranet pages (as long as the visitor has an open Internet connection).

Opentracker provides various languages such as Thai, English, German and Russian. Planned is to release versions in Japanese, Taiwanese and Chinese.

The pricing is not based on the number of features used, but on a monthly limit of 100,000 page views recorded per standard account. The reason for this is that Opentracker costs correlate almost directly with traffic, meaning bandwidth usage and server load. These are by far the most expensive operating costs.
To host your Opentracker uses high-end dual Xeon servers, to ensure stability. They maintain these servers 24/7, which is another significant cost. These servers are high quality, and more expensive than the average server. Opentracker feel that security in storing the data is worth the price, in terms of reducing risk.

As introduction to the Thai market a one month free trial without any functional limitations is offered to every webmaster, marketer or seo company in Thailand at: http://www.opentracker.in.th

Reason for this is, that Opentracker prefer that clients have the opportunity to first test there services for four weeks, to find out if our services cover all their needs, as well as give Opentracker an indication of how busy their site is.

Opentracker offers free tracking services to non-profit organizations active in environmental or human development in Thailand. All organizations are eligible to apply. Thai and international environmental organizations operating in Thailand are encouraged to apply.

Using TV In An Internet World

April 27th, 2008

For some reason, a lot of beginning net entrepreneurs think that
just because their business is Internet-based that all their
advertising must be as well. However, with the recent explosion
of dot-com commercials (just look at the Superbowl!), it has
become apparent that television is a great medium for
advertising your e-business.

Don’t let the horror stories about the expense of TV commercials
deter you. With a little creativity, even a small business with
a limited budget can afford to run an effective TV ad campaign.

PRODUCING YOUR AD

One of the most expensive parts of advertising on TV is getting
your commercial produced. That average 30 second TV spot costs
around $200,000 to produce. Of course, you can find far, far
cheaper ways to get an affordable spot.

Your commercial should look professional. Any touch of
amateurism will sink your spot from the beginning (unless the
junk look is part of a gimmick that makes sense to viewers).

TV production equipment used to cost tens of thousands of
dollars. Now anyone can own a digital video camera that gives a
professional film look. The cost of these cameras is $1,500 or
less making it possible for one person production houses to do
work up to Hollywood standards.

Find out who does small-time, inexpensive TV production by
checking your yellow pages, calling the creative director at a
local ad agency, or contacting the production departments of TV
stations in your area. Everyone in media knows everyone else and
will be happy to give you the name of a friend that does
low-cost work.

Forget expensive actors. Run video of your product or service in
action and have a professional announcer read your copy. Check
local radio stations for a DJ who has a pleasing voice and good
delivery. Offer them $50 to read your 30 second copy.

PLACING YOUR AD

TV prices have been coming down for over a decade. There used to
be just three network TV stations in your town. Now you likely
have FOX, WB, UPN, several other independents, and a bevy of low
power TV stations. You may have 100 more channels available on
cable. You have a neighborhood video store stacked with
choices…and digital video delivery is just around the corner.

With all those choices, audiences are split in much smaller
groups. TV outlets can’t charge near as much for commercials as
they did back in the old days. In lots of markets TV ad prices
are lower than radio’s and far lower than the daily newspaper’s.

One place to get very effective and low-cost TV commercials is
through your local public television station. It’s an option
that most of us overlook, but some savvy marketers are using
with great results.

Public television is dealing with big cuts in their funding.
Federal funds, which have always formed a small part of their
budget, are drying up and stations are having to look elsewhere
for money to buy programs.

It used to be that a program sponsor only got a very short,
basic promotional line at the beginning and end of the program.
It had to go something like “This program made possible through
a grant from Jim Bakery, where bread is always fresh.” Now the
FCC has relaxed those requirements allowing pubic TV sponsorship
lines look more like full-featured commercials.

Call your local public TV station and ask about their
sponsorship policies and opportunities. Because the cost of your
“ad” is seen as a donation, your promotional expense is tax
deductible.

You also build awareness and goodwill in the community when you
support public broadcasting. You can bet the movers and shakers
in your town will notice. Public broadcasting’s audiences are
well education and high income.

As a final piece of advice, remember that a TV station’s lowest
prices probably aren’t published. You will have to call the
sales manager at the station to get them. Expect far lower
prices when your ads run outside prime time or in packages of
multiple commercials.

Sex and the Gods of Internet Marketing

April 24th, 2008

Whenever I mention my occupation to a non-wired person, it seems to generate the same response:

“Isn’t there an awful lot of porn on the net?”

The question floats toward me like a smoke ring and forms a halo around my face, framing me as a pornographer, nymphomaniac, and all-round corrupter of innocence.

I expect that from my mother, but it’s not the public image I strive to cultivate. I never have a good response ready.

“Hmmm,” I nod coquettishly, “I’ll have to look into that.”

The subtext of my vapid reply could be “Yes, the internet is a modern-day Gomorrah and I’m in it up to my quivering loins,” or, “I really haven’t heard that, but I’m so pathetically hard-up that I’m gonna race right home and look.”

Neither is what I mean to convey, but the truth is probably just as perverse…

I’ve never really looked into sex on the net.

I always plan to, but I never do. I think I’ve always been very nervous about what I might find. Who knows? Maybe I myself would become corrupted - lured into the nether regions of psycho-sexual depravity and cyber-sensual abandon… never, perhaps, to return.

(I shudder at the thought… several times.)

Well, that sort of cloistered naiveté is fine when you’re just peddling software and minding your own business, but now that I’m prancing around like an e-marketing guru, I no longer have the luxury of ignoring so large and infamous a part of our venue.

THE DARING SEXPLORATIONS OF LINDA COX!

I have shifted into my Lara Croft/Wonder Woman Intrepid Female Explorer persona and I am now going to begin my Conradian trek into the internet’s dark interior.

Wish me luck. Here goes…

Okay, I’m back. Thanks for waiting. I’m prepared to report now.

Yep, it seems that there IS some sexual content on the internet. (Drink, please.) Rather a lot, in fact. (Make it a double.) Funny I never noticed before. (Is it warm in here?) Actually, it’s amazing there’s room for anything else. (WHERE’S THAT FREAKIN’ DRINK!?)

Here’s what I learned…

  1. I can never don my Lara Croft/Wonder Woman alter-ego again now that I’ve seen them locked together in alt.sex.binaries.lesbian.actionheroes in a bout of no-holes-barred lovemaking.

  2. Acts I consider sexually extreme and taboo, many people consider warm-up.

  3. I will never use a public restroom or changing room again. I will never wear a skirt in public again. I will never look at many salad ingredients the same way again.

  4. Certain professions should strictly enforce a much earlier mandatory retirement age.

  5. Everything is a sex toy to someone… EVERYthing.

  6. I found Howard Sprague’s private diary online. Goober and Floyd I always suspected, but Otis, Barney, how could you?

  7. Bondage is a cottage industry. I’m not sure what BDSM is, but it looks pretty damn uncomfortable.

  8. I accidentally learned how Vinnie, my pizza delivery kid, made ends meet before landing his present gig.

  9. Some things are better left unshaven.

  10. She-males are the damnedest thing since Mike the Headless Chicken.

THE GODS OF INTERNET MARKETING

Adult website marketers are the most in-your-face, take-no-prisoners, knock-down drag-out rock ‘n roll marketers on earth. If I could sell software the way they sell sex, I’d be living on my own island.

IN PRAISE OF CENSORSHIP

Frankly, I very much oppose adult content on the internet. I think it should be legislated out of existence. Here’s why:

Sex is the fire in the belly of civilization. If we allow it to become so commonplace that everyone gives up the hot and frenzied pursuit of it, then humanity will just go sit on the couch and watch pro wrestling. And then where will we be?

Sitting on the couch watching pro wrestling, that’s where!

What is Email Marketing?

April 6th, 2008

There are many avenues available for marketing online products. Radios, TV advertisements, newspaper and magazine advertisements, and that big sign on the highway are examples of the traditional marketing approach. Yes, these approaches can work, but then after spending a lot of money it’s tough to calculate return on marketing investment. Now these days, there are two effective and low-cost approaches, search engine marketing and Email Marketing.

Email Marketing starts with the use of email accounts. 90% of the adult internet users have personal/ business email accounts in unites states.
Millions of people across the country use email almost everyday.
Business or personal use, people has just lost that old traditional mail approach.

Most of the business professionals and technocrats today check their email accounts more than voicemail on their phone.

Millions of people subscribes for information they are interested in everyday.

Although spammers are killing the charm of email marketing and everyone is effected.

The way I define Email marketing is as below:

“Email marketing is a technique to reach the maximum number of people or businesses through Email in a shortest amount of time with minimum spending.”

Starting with small businesses, universities, non-profit organizations, associations, online publications and many giant corporations are using email marketing in one way or another. Small businesses uses email marketing as sales effort, associations uses it to send information to their members and information subscribers, and giant corporations are using it to increase brand awareness.

The fundamentals of Email marketing a regular or online product is no different from those that apply to conventional marketing. A compelling message must be developed to convey the product and achieve the core objectives of the email marketing campaign (Increased brand awareness, brand image, trial etc.) Unlike other marketing techniques, Email marketing gives you all the reports, statistics and results in real-time. I believe Email Marketing is the only technique that gives you perfect calculations of the Return on Marketing Investment.

Email marketing can be most useful tool in the following areas:

Brand development
Customer relationship management
Boost sales
Increase product awareness

Above of all, Email marketing success depends upon well executed creative development (message creation) and targeting. Reach to millions in a day, the only way is Email Marketing!

The Truth About Free Information

March 30th, 2008

Copyright 2006 Jeanette Cates

Research tells us that the primary reason people come onto the Internet is to get information. And if you ask them, everyone will say “sure - I want it to be free information.”

But let’s think this through. From the early days of the World Wide Web information on the Internet was free. You could find millions of articles, free reports, etc.

There were two reasons for all of these resources being free:

1. Early pioneers online could not figure out a viable way to charge for it. 2. At the end of every free article or woven into a free ebook there were “offers” for a paid product or service.

As technology has advanced we’ve seen a growing number of free information resources - audios, teleseminars, videos. And at the end of each there is an offer. That’s why I’m always amazed when someone complains that “the information was good BUT they tried to sell me something at the end of the call.”

Well of course they did! That’s how they make their living. In fact, that’s how all of us make our living. I would challenge you to find any profession that doesn’t exist because of sales. From the friendly “call for a free 15- minute session” to the million dollar commercial on TV, no one works without a sale.

How does this apply to your Online Success?

Time and again I see smart people with a good business idea shoot themselves in the foot because they won’t attend a free teleseminar. “They’re just doing it to sell me something,” they whine. Well of course they are! But that doesn’t mean they aren’t giving you priceless information in the meantime.

Only a fool would give you the gems of their business ideas and strategies without charge. What you need to beware of are those free teleseminars that give you great information and ask nothing in return. Those are not savvy business people. Do you really want to follow their advice?

When you do hear the pitch, listen carefully. Successful business people spend as much time working on the way they present their offer as they do gathering the information they will present.

Listen for the lead in to the offer. Listen to the description. Take notes. See if they offer a reduced price for just this call. Notice whether or not they offer bonuses. If they do, what is the value of the bonuses and how many are offered? How do they create a sense of scarcity - with a time limit or a limited number of products or both?

There is an entire business woven around the ability to make a good sales pitch. And whether you sell something online or you have an offline business, learning to apply that sales ability is worth more than the time you spend on the call.

The idea is that you are learning from all aspects of the call. From the introduction to the close, you should be taking notes.

So the next time you see “free teleseminar” or “preview teleseminar” sign up. Not only will you get some great information, but you’ll also be able to apply their sales techniques to your business.

Internet Marketing Strategies

March 21st, 2008

The right strategies to win a share of the Internet pie

Every move in life needs a sound strategy to succeed. Now that you are keen on making some serious money on the Internet, what you need is the right strategy to help you attain your goals. Although the Internet has opened a whole New World of opportunity for even the smallest home-based business owner, it takes the right start and a perfect execution to make it work. Countless numbers of self-made millionaires started their Internet businesses from the ground up, found a niche and built their success a day at a time.

You need not be an Internet guru to really make it big on the net. What you need is a little passion, a decent amount of effort and lot of strategic thinking to succeed. A solid Internet marketing plan will include everything from your ad to your thank you and follow-up letters. Each process in your plan must perform a specific task.

1. Your short-term marketing strategies will drive traffic to your web site in intervals. Each time you place an ad, your traffic will increase. After a few days, your traffic will drop off.

2. Your long-term marketing strategies will drive a steady stream of traffic to your web site. Your traffic will continue to increase over time.

3. Your ad must draw your potential customer’s attention and create curiosity. It must lead them to click through to your web site.

4. Your web site will then take over and provide further information, while leading your potential customer to your order page.

5. Your order page will be packed with all of the benefits your product has to offer and call for action.

6. Your marketing plan will continue to be implemented by closing the sale with a thank you letter.

7. Your final step will be to send follow-up messages in the future to provide good customer service and introduce new products.

To take your business online there are a few ingredients that the gurus feel are a must for success. These are:

Commitment

If you get into the business just for the heck of making money, we are sorry, it won’t take you a long way. You need to enjoy whatever you do. And put your heart and soul into it. Commitment and passion will give you the requisite drive to succeed.

Own Domain (www.yourdomain.com)

Identity is very crucial when it comes to doing business on the net. If you host your site on a free server, not many will take you seriously. It also reflects badly in terms of your professionalism and seriousness in conducting the business. A Company with its own domain name and a professional web site will have a much higher rate of success.

Intelligently designed Web site

A web site reflects the company’s mindset. A professional looking web site may take some time to create but it will add miles to your success graph. The site must also have relevant, customer-oriented and fresh content. This will drive ample traffic to your site. Remember that the freshness of the content needs to be retained on a continuous basis.

Precise Audience

Even if all the above criteria are fulfilled, success cannot be guaranteed if you fail to drive the right audience to your web site. A million irrelevant hits are nothing compared to a few hundred precise audiences visiting your web site. To drive relevant traffic to your site you have the options of purchasing advertising, advertising on bulletin boards and registering with search engines. On a long-term basis, you can opt for constant customer interaction using tools like Ezines, Freebies and Fresh Content.

Ezine

One of the major ingredients of online success is an in-house magazine. The ezine will be a direct link with your customers and enable you to promote products and services with ample ease and credibility.

The right product/service

Internet is a time saving medium. Users will throng to your site if you offer them in-demand or unique product/service without time lags. Once you have the products/services in place, you should ensure that they are deliverable over the Internet instantly. That means you should have the relevant payment gateway in place so as to accept payments instantly. Pay pals and credit cards are great ways to make your site e-com ready.

In short, by devising and implementing a balanced marketing strategy, you will be able to create a steady stream of visitors to your site. But then there are other finer nuances to these strategies, which you can learn by using unique tools. They will give you step-by-step lessons in creating and applying strategies for a successful presence on the Internet. You can find these tools at:
