Are you willing to get a new speedboat and postulate 25000 dollar

December 31st, 2008

10.6 percent loan rate may look so just but will that be unvaried after you have to riposte your deferred payment. A bank in Hanford California or so may have a total different actual interest rate for a 30000 dollar credit loan then a merchant bank in Atlanta Georgia and that makes a big clear difference in your monthly costs. Nowadays you can investigate interest rates quickly at websites and experience if there are other sneaky conditions you should be aware of. Many of the banks wil show you a rate of interest that looks secure but feels badly or so after some time. You should be clever today to check out if you have a nice special offer or if you don’t with the moneylender that offers you a loan. to see if the merchant bank who is tending to give you a credit loan is good. That’s the reason why now you really need to suss out and understand if you can have a bank loan at a estimable percent rate. It makes no difference if you live in Bridgeport Connecticut or in Columbia South Carolina a respectable online analysis will salve you often a lot of incommode.

As The Primary Caregiver, Should I Journal My Feelings About

December 31st, 2008

Being a caregiver is stressful and difficult. It involves contradictory feelings, thoughts and frustrations. When you have to care for a loved one who has Alzheimer’s, you have to be patient, talk with a calm voice and never “talk down” to your loved one.

Journaling your thoughts and feelings will definitely help you cope with the situation. Write in your journal all that comes through your mind and your heart; nobody but you will read it. It is between you and your journal. Let your pen guide you through the pages. You may want to do some extra research on Alzheimer’s disease to better understand the process and stages your loved one will pass through. If you are a little bit knowledgeable about the disease, the process of caring will be easier on both you and your loved one.

You can keep daily notes on your loved one, such as bathing or eating changes, whether she becomes agitated, and so on. It can also help you remember things to discuss with the doctor.

The good thing about a journal is that it is handy and you can write whenever you feel like it, day or night. It will never contradict you. On the contrary, it will aid you in dealing with your internal emotions; it will relieve your mind and your soul. If you are uncomfortable about writing, then it may be easier for you to express your feelings by recording them on a tape recorder. If you like, you can recall some family gathering you all had together, a camping trip or fishing trip where your loved one caught a BIGGGGG fish! You can read this part to him and it might trigger some memory in your loved one…a memory that was lost to Alzheimer’s.

Journaling will also help you release the burden of care giving you may have. Releasing the burden through the pen will definitely ease the pain. But journaling should not be the only way out for these strong feelings you have. You may want to enroll in a support group. You can check through the Alzheimer’s Association if there is such a group in you area. Speaking to other people will help in getting all these negative emotions out. And most of the participants are dealing with exactly the same emotions because they have to care for a loved one who has dementia. Sometimes, speaking out loud and getting out these feelings will do you a lot of good and you will feel much better after. You may even make friends through these groups, friends that will be able to support you as time goes on.

Remember, you are not alone. You have friends and family to talk to. Maybe you can ask a family member to help with your loved one. It will ease the burden and give you more time to yourself, to journal and to recharge your batteries.

Gold-Washed Etched Glass Votive Candle Holders

Gold-Washed Etched Glass Votive Candle Holders
By: Eileen Bergen
The Artful Crafter
http://www.theartfulcrafter.com

Supplies

Clear Glass Container(s) (I used votive candle holders, but
any size or type of clear glass container can be used in this
project.)
Delta Air-Dry PermEnamel Surface Conditioner
Delta Air-Dry PermEnamel White Frost Glass Etching Paint
Delta Air-Dry PermEnamel Clear Gloss Glaze
Delta Air-Dry PermEnamel Diluent
Delta Air-Dry PermEnamel Satin Finish 14K Gold Paint for Tile,
Glass & Ceramic
Newspaper
Paint brush
Small make-up type sponge
Cup or film canister for paint mixing
Bottom half of empty egg carton.

I decided to finish off my project by heat embossing some stars
around the rim of the candle holders. This step and the following
supplies are optional.

Detail Gold Embossing Powder
InkADinkADo Celestial Rubber Stamp Collection

Embossing Heat Tool
Clean sheet of paper to retrieve unused embossing powder.

Directions

1.Wash candle holder(s) in hot soapy water. Drip dry.

2.Place candle holder(s) upside down on newspaper. Brush
exterior with surface conditioner and let air dry. Once
conditioned, do not touch the surface to be etched.
The oils from your fingers will prevent the etching cream from
working.

3.Using a clean (make-up type) sponge, wipe etching cream
over the surface of the glass. Smooth carefully to be sure there
are no bumps. Let dry. I used three coats to get the level of etched
look I wanted.

4.In a small paper or plastic cup or film canister, mix equal
parts of 14K Gold Paint with Clear Gloss Glaze. Dilute this mix with
diluent (1 part paint to 3 parts diluent) to obtain a free-flowing
paint for the wash.

5.Turn the candle holder(s) upright. Pour the wash in and
carefully rotate the container to cover the interior with the gold
paint. When you are satisfied with the depth and evenness of coverage,
pour any excess paint into the next glass container to be painted or
into the film canister if there is enough to save. Invert the glass
candle holder(s) and gently set on the inverted egg carton bottom.
After a few minutes, tilt to a different angle so that the paint drains
without leaving drip marks.

If you decide to add embossing, proceed with the following steps.

1.Choose your stamp and press firmly into the clear ink pad
included in the Celestial stamp kit.

2.Carefully position the stamp above the glass. Since I embossed
the upper rim. I used my little finger to help position the stampings
equidistant from the top edge. Because you’re stamping on a curved
surface, you need to stamp with a slight rolling movement, taking care
not to smudge the design. If you make a mistake, simply wipe the area
with surface conditioner. Move to another area to work while the
boo-boo dries.

3.With the clean paper underneath, tap a small amount of embossing
powder onto the stamped area. Tap off excess powder. If the design is
satisfactory, move the glass away from the paper so you don’t blow powder
you are trying to save all over the place. I used detail powder because my
stamp has very small details which wouldn’t be clear with regular embossing
powder.

4.Hold the embossing heat gun about 3 inches above the glass, turn it
on and move it over the embossed area until the embossing beads gleam. This
means they have melted and fused together and onto your glass. If you are
doing multiple stampings, the glass will build up significant heat. If it
gets “too hot to handle”, set it down for a few minutes.

Whether you are making these gold-washed etched votive candle holders
for gifts or to sell, include a candle with each one. It doesn’t cost you
much, but nicely completes your work.

Are your nutrition habits robbing you from the body you desi

December 29th, 2008

What if by making a few small changes in your nutrition and eating habits you could add up to a 50% gain in muscle mass and loose up to 18% extra fat.

Well you could be robbing yourself of these gains just by not eating correctly and at the right times. You see by eating at the right time you can catapult your body into a fat burning anabolic state which will not only help you gain more muscle but also loose more fat at the same time.

You will be surprised at how easy it is to make a few simple changes in your eating habits and times and the gains that you will get from these very small changes.

In a recent study in the U.K it has been shown that eating irregular meals promotes fat gain. It all comes back to our body’s “will to survive” mechanism. When you skip or prolong a meal your body will automatically go into saviour mode and start storing extra fat to be used at a later date. Consequently your next meal also stores a lot of extra fat.

By eating smaller meals more frequently you can not only counter this effect but also put your body into an anabolic state, which will also increase your base metabolic rate. In plain English this leads to higher fat loss and more muscle gain.

A haphazard supplement program coupled with a haphazard diet will make building muscle and loosing fat a next to impossible task no matter how you train

Why would anyone put in all that effort in their training and not back it up by proper nutrition and eating habits? Lack of knowledge would be the most likely answer.

Ideally you should be eating 5 or 6 smaller meals a day that are low in fat, with high protein and medium carbohydrate.

Here is an example of my Meal plan each day

Meal 1: 6AM

1 packet of Ny-Tro PRO-40 mixed with 16 ounces of skim milk and 1 serving of Micronized Creatine

Meal 2: 9AM

2 servings VP2 Whey Isolate mixed in 10 ounces of skim milk

1 large apple

Meal 3: 12PM

2 grilled chicken breasts

1 Serving Rice

1 cup of low-fat Yogurt

1 serving VP2 Whey Isolate in 8 ounces skim milk.

Meal 4: 3PM

1 packet Ny-Tro PRO-40 mixed with 16 ounces of skim milk and 5 to 10 grams of GL3 L-Glutamine

1 large banana

Pre-Workout

2 Dymetadrine Xtreme

1 VyoPro Protein Bar

Meal 5: 6PM (Post-workout)

2 servings VP2 Whey Isolate combined with 1 serving Creatine HSC mixed in cold water. (This is an important meal and is designed for an insulin spike at just the right time to increase creatine and amino acid uptake by the muscle cells.)

Meal 6: 7PM

8 to 10 ounces of lean round or flank steak

1 large serving of rice

1 medium baked potato

1 large green salad

Meal 7: 10PM

1 packet of Ny-Tro PRO-40 mixed with 9 ounces of skim milk

1 large banana

3 to 5 grams of GL3 L-Glutamine

(Mix the Ny-Tro PRO-40 and GL3 in a large bowl into a smooth pudding. Slice the banana on top and eat. It’s a dessert.)

I take my meal plans from the Max OT training program, which can be found at http://www.ast-ss.com/max-ot/max-ot_intro.asp

You do not need to supplement the way I do and by just eating 5-7 smaller meals per day you will already be on your way to a healthier life with better gains from your gym workouts.

Why is a Franchisor Mad at the Multi Level Marketing Companies?

December 28th, 2008

Why would a franchise company which has master franchisees in charge of regions and those regions in charge of the franchisees and the franchisees in charge of their stores and each store has a manager in charge of the employees? After all doesn’t that represent 5-levels of marketing? Isn’t franchising the duplication and replication of a business method and brand name? Why would Franchisors be angry at a Multi Level Company which basically in “abstract theory” anyway operates in such a similar way?

Well, I am a franchisor so let me explain my beef with this particular situation. You see as a franchisor, I have all these rules of what I can and cannot say. In fact there are some laws, which prohibit things I am allowed to say even if they are true, unless I pay a high priced accountant to do many audits of my franchisees to prove that it is true.

If those are violated or rather if a franchise buyer tells the government I told them something that I was not supposed to, whether I did or not is immaterial, they launch an investigation against my company. The franchise buyer may simply be saying that to break his contract with me, so he can use all my life’s work to do it on his own and then compete against me, it is your basic traitor syndrome. But what the hell some say, deal with it, Jesus had a traitor in his group too. Think on this in 2006.

Mobile Broadband is the key to the Future of High Speed Connections

December 28th, 2008

Mobile broadband has been advertised as the trendiest development in the Web that is going to be the secret to the future of high speed broadband. Only a few year ago, broad band has been provided on a traditional telephone landline, high speed cable, which brings internet access to your terminal using an ADSL modem. WI FI high speed internet will soon be increasingly spread, whereby the ADSL modem is connected to the laptop thanks to a wireless network, and as a consequence internet surfers are now ridding their homes of cables. However mobile broad band will take things one step further and offering another idea in the evolution of internet; a broadband connection nearly in any room without using a landline cable.

The option of having a fast high speed connection line at home is surely an obviously attractive one to potential users, especially those people that generally connect with their personal computer not from home. Business people for example who regularly travel for work are the main obvious target for mobile broadband since they will surely like the fact of not having to search at all for a WiFi spot for a quite decent internet connection. Mobile broad band is going to go further than that, and since fees start to decrease and internet connection lines become faster it might not be long before we see the majority of broad band clients applying for mobile high speed broadband.

Mobile high speed internet works by connecting a modem to a pc, also referred to as a ‘dongle’, from which your PC can browse the internet by using the mobile high speed connection line the clients have subscribed for. Internet providers are marketing mobile broad-band packages and coverage of the networks, very popular as 3 G networks, which covers around 90% of the UK.

Broad band speed is an important issue with any internet connection and mobile broadband providers at first had problems to convince users that their mobile high speed connection could compete with traditional, ADSL landline broadband. Connections are changing, since Vodafone announcing mobile high speed connection speeds as fast as 7 mb, which is as fast as some of the fastest landline broadband. Countries like England, are laying plans to put huge resources in fibre optic cable networks, because they want to improve broad-band speeds to up to 100mb.

In New Zealand a famous telecom company has said that mobile broadband networks are set to develop rapidly over the coming years and they have forecasted that mobile high speed internet could be delivering speeds of up to 100mb in the next three years, exactly the year the UK’s fibre optic network will be completed. This will create a major step in industry thinking, with the development of a super fast mobile broadband network having remarkable advantages over the cabling of thousands of Kms of fibre optic cables, without mentioning the practical point of view. Brand Identity and the CEO

December 27th, 2008

This week I spent a few hours with a highly successful CEO discussing his brand identity questions and concerns. “What do the most successful brand initiatives have in common?” he asked. I shared an observation with him based on many years of having similar conversations and being involved in successful (and not so successful) branding programs.

There are a lot of reasons to embark on a major corporate branding program, but from the point of view of a CEO, most of them are simply not compelling. For many years I have watched marketers and design managers struggle to get large scale identity programs funded and supported by senior-most management. Even though there are clear breakdowns caused by the existing identity systems and designers believe they are presenting a clear, rational justification for investment…their attempts are rebuffed more often than accepted.

While designers think that because the expression of a brand is out of date or not working as hard as it should in a competitive context, it is obvious it should be changed. Sometimes there are clear business problems caused by poor brand architecture systems. Customer confusion, uncompetitive brand communications, and cost inefficiencies are painstakingly documented, and still senior management is left unimpressed. Of all the problems they have to solve for the entire organization, these opportunities just don’t rank high enough.

So what compels them to invest in solving their brand problems? When a CEO perceives brand as tool to express his or her vision for the organization, they fully support it. When they understand that changing the identity program can be a vehicle for manifesting the organizational transformation they want, they hop on board the train. When the brand change becomes emblematic of the change THEY seek, we have a shot at creating a program that shifts the organization’s culture as well as the market’s perceptions.

Design (all design) is done to serve others. It is always about them, not us. The real customer/user of corporate brand programs is the CEO. Make your branding program serve his or her purpose, and you’ll have the opportunity to fix all of your design problems at the same time.

Cell phone cameras

December 26th, 2008

A lot of myths exist regarding as to whether the cell phone cameras are any good or not. The fact that people require to admit that these cameras are also digital cameras and they exhibit the same facilities irrespective of the fact that their sizes are much smaller and their functionalities are curtailed due to this particular reason. Hence some introspection needs to be done regarding the digital cameras and cell phones in their joint venture together in the technological world!

Looking back into the initial stages of development the availability of low-cost, low-power CMOS imaging modules helped to charge up the popular craze camera enabled cell phones in today’s world that primitively began in Japan. That proved to be contagious for the rest of the world. From young students to even busy business people avidly annals photos of colleagues and whatever else passes in front of their phones. The popularity has touched sky high and the reason being the good quality that people seek at grass root level endeavors of photography. Americans have the urge to seek betterment in these areas also. They go about to seek cool new digital camera phones that all have VGA resolution 640 x 480 pixels. This is considered a safe bet that this phone is the most expensive model.

Much of a kind of ignorance exists apart from all this regarding the cell phones cameras and it crops from the fact that no benchmarks exist for objectively comparing picture quality in image sensors, camera modules, or end products. The helpless consumers thus have to rely upon advertisements to tell them much. Yet this is not a correct way to knowing a technical device. Considering the technological portion it can be said here that in the cell phone cameras some of the VGA handsets offer fairly good image quality. When you consider that the resolution comes from an imaging module that measures only 6 mm square, its actually pretty amazing quality. That square includes an imaging chip, a digital signal processor (DSP) that supports the VGA format, and a double lens that’s packaged in a light-tight module. Finding room for this module is easy. Plus, power consumption is low because the imaging chip is CMOS.

Considering the further improvements in the cell phone camera technology it can be stated here that some cell phones have incorporated conventional CCD imaging units that are still used in most digital cameras today. These devices require high voltage and a bigger a battery. As a result, CMOS has taken over in VGA-resolution applications. It provides increasingly good image quality. All this discussion shows the various achievements in the technology. However it must be stated here that the cell phone cameras are really good but they are nothing compared to the actual digital cameras. The sole reason being that they are much larger and contain far more features. It must be admitted here that such comparison is irrelevant because they are definitely two separate areas of work in spite of the fact that they are both digital cameras. Yet they are diverse in 100% of all their aspects. Hence the comparison is irrelevant.

Considering all the important points discussed in the above lines regarding the various areas of the cell phone digital cameras it comes out to be something that is worth appreciation. Leaving aside all comparisons they cell phone cameras are digital cameras that are certainly good in their areas of applications and mass acceptance and popularity would some day make them as advanced as their pioneer professional digital cameras.

Artificial Intelligence … what have we learned through nat

December 26th, 2008

During the late ’80s and early ’90s, I had the opportunity to work with expert systems in real-time production environments. I found artificial intelligence, or AI, to be thoroughly intriguing. I even went so far as to write an expert system package, under Microsoft Windows, called WindExS. However, as I continued my work, and expanded into other areas of knowledge management and, eventually, remote viewing, I began to find some unusual inconsistencies in the AI world and the desires to create “truly intelligent” and “thinking” machines.

One of the issues that people usually claim as a requirement of true intelligence is that “one must have a soul.” These ideas and dabbling prompted me to write a short screenplay entitled “Sylvie,” which was the story of an “emotionally intelligent” system. That small inkling of creativity still did not allow me to delve as deeply into the topic as I had wanted. However, it did bring up the question: “what is a soul?”

— What is AI? —

AI is the science and engineering of making machines intelligent, especially through the creation of intelligent software. It is similar to the task of using computers to understand human intelligence, but AI does not have to confine itself to methods that are biologically observable. Intelligence is the computational part of the ability to define a plan and achieve goals. Different types and levels of intelligence occur in people, animals, and some machines. However, the ultimate premise behind creating an intelligent machine is the ability to think creatively, solve problems using abstract information, and devise new solutions.

— The Biological Parallel Computer —

Consider the vast amount of information that we acquire and process every day. It is difficult to imagine that so much information and activity could be stored in such a small amount of tissue and fluid. Scientists have been theorizing that, indeed, the mind is not as much of a storage device as it is a communications device to some larger “knowledge base.” The mind appears to be a way to pre-process data for storage and a way to analyze data for use while all the time maintaining a connection for data storage and acquisition with this knowledge base.

This knowledge base surrounds us with information and intelligence. Everything that every creature in the Universe knows, and will ever know, is stored and made available for us by simply asking for it. However, accessing it requires a connection, a field, which connects us all together in a large “bio-circuit.” It can be seen as a “biological parallel computing environment.” The information presented by this bio-circuit consists of a limitless and accessible Universal source of knowledge.

— Why be creative? —

I remember my days in school where I was taught that, indeed, daydreaming and excessive creativity could destroy your life. However, the important thing that I learned along the way is that, without creativity, there can be no progress. Creativity is a way to expand one’s consciousness by taking abstract ideas and turning them into a new reality. It is a way to take what you know as an absolute, and stretch it into the unknown. Each stretch takes you further and expands your absolutes along the way.

Without creativity, you would do the same things that you’ve always done in life without ever moving forward or backward. Consider it as being “caught in a rut.” You can’t leave the rut because you can’t figure out how to get out of it. When you think creatively, you’re taking things that you know, applying it to things that you don’t, and devising a solution to achieve a goal.

To access the vast resources of creativity, the mind reaches into the bio-circuit and extracts bits and pieces of information that it can use to create intelligent solutions. By developing your creative abilities, you are opening that circuit to more knowledge, a greater intellect, and a broader understanding of life.

— What is the soul anyway? —

A discussion of creativity once again brings up the question of: “what is the soul?” After some thought and evaluation, I would have to say that the soul is the link, the transceiver, between our physical world and the bio-circuit. It is the living essence of everything within each of us.

By closing ourselves off into our own worlds and hiding our souls under the muck and mire of challenges, we close off our connection to the bio-circuit. Our soul essentially dies and we become a stand-alone computer with only the knowledge we have saved as our guide. However, by working to bring your soul forward and using your creativity in everything you do, you can acquire knowledge from every part of the Universe.

— True AI —

Scientists have tried to mimic the way the human brain functions. Storage, processing, intelligence, and self-learning are all components of AI. However, what if the basic premise of how the brain functions was — wrong? Indeed, it provides control over our bodies and accepts stimuli; however, what if the ideas of processing, intelligence, storage, and self-learning all truly based on the connection of our minds with the bio-circuit. In this way, to create a mimic of the human intellect, we must understand how we interact with each other through the bio-circuit.

— What’s next? —

What an unusual foray into strange territory. However, this has been a general concept that has been eating at me for years. It wasn’t until I began remote viewing that I was able to see and apply the ideas of Universal intelligence to the ideas of artificial intelligence. I am not going to say that, in this context, a machine cannot have a soul, as stranger things have happened. However, I will say that the true nature of intelligence will not be realized until we understand and believe the true purpose and function of the soul.
